New Delhi, March 29 -- More than half of India's potential for generation of renewable energy has been concentrated within the four states of Rajasthan (20.3%), Maharashtra (11.8%), Gujarat (10.5%) and Karnataka (9.8%), as per Energy Statistics India 2025 published by Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI). The annual publication said India has a huge potential for generation of renewable energy which stands at 21,09,655 megawatt as on March, 2024.
