Bengaluru, June 20 -- Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has been awarded the complete technology transfer for the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe), empowering it to independently build, own, and commercialise SSLV launches - a first for any Indian company.
The decision, announced on Friday, marks a watershed moment in India's space journey, signifying the most comprehensive launch vehicle technology transfer from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to a commercial entity.
