Thane, Nov. 4 -- A case has been filed against the owners of a travel agency in Thane for allegedly defrauding a man of over Rs 20 lakh after promising to arrange a Hajj pilgrimage for his family, but failing to fulfill the commitment. Police confirmed the registration of the case on Tuesday following a complaint lodged by the victim on Sunday.

The complainant, a 53-year-old resident of Mumbra in Thane, lodged his complaint on Sunday. As per the complaint, the alleged fraud occurred between 2018 and 2019. Officials did not specify the reason for the delay in filing the complaint.
