Guwahati, Oct. 5 -- Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya today attended the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Executive Member and Deputy Chief Executive Member of the 5th Executive Council of of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) held at Kokrajhar.
Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota administered the oath of office and secrecy to Hagrama Mohilary as CEM and Rihon Daimary as the Deputy CEM of the BTC.
Speaking on the occasion, Acharya described the day as a "moment of happiness" for the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
He expressed confidence that the newly formed Executive Council will uphold democratic values and work with dedication toward the holistic development and welfare of the BTR.
