HADR exercise held in Bengaluru ahead of monsoons
Bengaluru, May 30 -- In a proactive move to bolster disaster preparedness ahead of the monsoon season, a largescale multi-agency Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise was conducted in Bengaluru on Friday.
The drill, aimed at ensuring coordinated and swift response in the event of urban flooding and related emergencies, was spearheaded by the Gorkha Battalion of the Amphibious Brigade under the Bison Division.
The drill was conducted in close synergy with the 10th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Karnataka State Emergency Services and local civil authorities.
