Shimla, April 2 -- Himachal Pradesh government has operationalised the Outpatient Department (OPD) of Gynaecology at Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla, marking a significant expansion of women's healthcare services in the state capital on Thursday.
The facility, which was earlier functioning exclusively at Kamala Nehru Hospital has now been shifted to IGMC and would operate from the second floor of Block-A.
Hospital authorities stated that, for the convenience of patients, the OPD would continue to run simultaneously at Kamala Nehru Hospital for a transitional period. However, once fully streamlined, the service would be available only at IGMC.
