Guwahati to host blind football championship for the first time

Guwahati, May 25 -- The NorthEast Zonal Blind Football Championship this year will be held at Sarusojai Stadium in Guwahati from May 26 to May 28.

The organisers said that the three-day event will bring together 90 players and officials from nine teams from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Odisha.

Organised by the Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF), the event will see the hosting of 6th Men's & 3rd Women's championships.

This is for the first time that Assam's capital town Guwahati will be hosting the Blind Football championship.
