Kolkata, Aug. 20 -- West Bengal Governor C.V. Anand Bose has approved the chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against state minister Chandranath Sinha in connection with the primary school teachers' recruitment scam.

The chargesheet, which had earlier faced procedural hurdles, was accepted by a special court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) here today.

Following the court's acceptance, Sinha - the Minister in charge of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles - has been directed to appear before the ED within 15 days.

Earlier this month, the agency's prosecution efforts were stalled after Raj Bhavan withheld sanction, preventing the chargesheet from being accepted.
