Chandigarh, Aug. 6 -- : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab is in crisis as Gurpreet Singh Chahal Tharaj, a senior leader and block president of Bagha Purana in Moga district, has resigned amid the escalating controversy over Punjab's land pooling policy.

Citing the policy as detrimental to farmers' interests, Tharaj expressed strong dissatisfaction with the party leadership and reflecting deepening dissent within party ranks and mounting pressure on the AAP leadership.
