Chandigarh, Jan. 12 -- A firing incident at a well-known sweets shop in Phagwara early Monday morning triggered panic in the area, hours before Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's scheduled visit to the region. No injuries were reported, but the attack has raised fresh concerns over law and order.

According to police, unidentified assailants opened fire at a popular sweets outlet located on Hoshiarpur Road around 7 am. Multiple shots were aimed at the shop's main entrance before the attackers fled. The shop's glass panels were damaged in the incident.
