New Delhi, Sept. 8 -- Student activist Gulfisha Fatima has approached the Supreme Court challenging the Delhi High Court's recent order denying her bail in the larger conspiracy case related to the 2020 Delhi riots.
Fatima, a prominent face in protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), was arrested on April 9, 2020, and has remained in custody since, facing charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The Delhi Police's chargesheet accuses Fatima and other co-accused of orchestrating a "larger conspiracy" behind the communal violence that shook the national capital during the last week of February 2020.
