Berlin, Nov. 26 -- Serhou Guirassy scored twice as Borussia Dortmund cruised to a 4-0 home victory over Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League.
Despite Dortmund's control in possession on Tuesday, clear-cut chances were rare in the opening phases, and it was Villarreal that created the first moments of danger.
Tajon Buchanan thought he had found the net in the 11th minute, but his effort was ruled out for offside. Villarreal continued to threaten on the counter-attack, with both Buchanan and Pape Gueye missing promising opportunities.
The hosts broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time, as Guirassy headed a corner into the net to give Dortmund a 1-0 lead at the interval.
