New Delhi, Sept. 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the 'next generation GST Reforms', to be implemented from September 22, will generate savings of Rs 2.5 lakh crores.
In an address to the nation, PM Modi described the next generation GST Reforms as "bachat utsav" for the common people as it would lead to a significant reduction in the taxation slabs for the basic necessities.
He said the GST Reforms will benefit all sections of society, including traders, the middle class and women and make India an atttractive investment destination with every state being an equal partner in development.
