New Delhi, Sept. 6 -- Amid hike in US tariff, the recent overhaul of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime has come as a boon for the rice exporters and producers who have hailed it as a transformative step towards improving ease of doing business and enhancing export.

They said, the changes, which include expedited registration, faster refunds, and reduced compliance burdens, are expected to significantly enhance trade efficiency and boost both domestic and international demand.
