Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 20 -- Allegations of gender discrimination have emerged in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Department in Kerala following its recent restructuring, the Joint Council, a service organisation affiliated with the ruling CPI, alleged today.
The Council claimed that women employees were excluded from postings in the Enforcement Wing - a key unit formed after the reorganisation of the former Intelligence Squad - which the leaders described as "anti-women" and inconsistent with the principles of a modern, progressive society.
