Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 22 -- Consumers in Kerala are in for a treat, as the Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), popularly known as Milma, has announced a major price drop across its range of value-added dairy products.
This move comes in the wake of the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime, effective today, allowing the cooperative to pass on substantial savings directly to buyers.
Among the highlights, Milma Ghee sees a significant reduction: the one-litre pack drops by Rs. 45, from Rs. 720 to Rs. 675, while the 500-ml pack becomes Rs. 25 cheaper, now priced at Rs. 345. This comes after the GST on ghee was slashed from 12 per cent to a more consumer-friendly 5 per cent.
