New Delhi, Oct. 25 -- Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today lauded the efforts of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and its field formations in strengthening India's tax administration and advancing a transparent, citizen-centric governance framework.
She was inaugurating the newly-constructed Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Bhawan, located in Ghaziabad, where senior CBIC officers, trade representatives and other dignitaries were present.
The Finance Minister emphasised that technology-driven compliance with simplified processes will ensure transparency and voluntary participation among taxpayers.
