Hyderabad, Sept. 27 -- union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy today said the Geological Survey of India (GSI) is playing vital role in mineral exploration, particularly in coal, which which play a key role in the nation's development.

Addressing after inaugurating four innovative Waste to Wealth Models at an event Swachhotsav under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva 2025' campaign, organized by the GSI here, Kishan Reddy stated that 74 per cent of electricity in India is generated through coal, and without coal, there can be no electricity.
