Aizawl, Sept. 22 -- The Aizawl-based Centre for Environment Protection has submitted an urgent request to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Environment, Forest & Climate Change Department, Mizoram, highlighting concerns about the potential impacts of the Aizawl Bypass (NH-06) Project on local wildlife, particularly the Serow species.

In a letter addressed to the department on Monday, the Centre brought attention to a recent sighting of a Serow and its calf on the northeastern periphery of Aizawl city, within the jurisdiction of Zuangtui Local Council.
