Patna, April 7 -- In a significant step towards strengthening the dairy sector, the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and the Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation (COMFED), in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation, have initiated a comprehensive green fodder mapping study across all 38 districts of Bihar.

Secretary of the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, Shirsat Kapil Ashok said here that the initiative aims to leverage advanced technologies such as remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to improve fodder resource management and enhance dairy productivity in the state.

He said that sustainable growth in the dairy sector depends heavily on efficient fodder management.
