Bengaluru, March 13 -- The Karnataka Legislative Council has passed the Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill 2024, which seeks to decentralise administration by dividing Bengaluru into multiple city corporations. Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, defending the bill on Wednesday, likened the initiative to the foundational efforts of Kempegowda, the city's founder, stating that the reforms aim to modernise governance in line with Bengaluru's exponential growth.
