Mumbai, Sept. 1 -- The indefinite fast undertaken by Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange-Patil at Azad Maidan, demanding reservation for the Maratha community, entered its fourth day today.

"Unfortunately, the government of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is still unwilling to take a firm stand or come forward for dialogue," said Aam Aadmi Party's Pune City President, Prashant Kamble.

He said in 2018, as Leader of the Opposition, Fadnavis had clearly stated in the Assembly that reservation can be given to the Maratha community. However, despite being in power today, the Maratha community is being "blatantly neglected", he alleged.
