Patna, Oct. 23 -- The Grand Alliance today officially declared former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, ending all speculation.

Senior Congress leader and Bihar election observer Ashok Gehlot announced the decision during a joint press conference attended by top leaders from all alliance constituents.

Gehlot said that the decision was taken under the purview of top leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Malikarjun Kharge, and other senior officials.
