Patna, May 3 -- With an aim to connect villages that remain cut off during monsoon floods, a wide network of rural bridges is being developed across North Bihar under schemes supported by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.
Rural works department sources said here on Sunday that several areas in North Bihar frequently face severe floods due to rivers like the Kosi, Gandak , Bagmati and Kamla . These floods often isolate villages for months, effectively turning them into islands. However, significant changes are now visible due to efforts by the Rural Works Department Bihar.
