Bengaluru, Nov. 29 -- Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Assembly, R Ashoka, on Saturday accused the Congress government of conducting the upcoming Belagavi session merely for formality and demanded that it be held for the full 20 days to address issues of North Karnataka.

Speaking after a BJP-JD(S) coordination meeting held at a hotel here, Ashoka said the government was unlikely to run the session for more than eight days and alleged that the ruling party was using it only to push its legislative agenda. He criticised the inclusion of Bengaluru development and BBMP-related subjects in a session meant for Belagavi.
