Madhubani, April 24 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced the government would spend Rs 11,000 crore for flood protection projects in Bihar.

Addressing a function organised to mark launching various projects and schemes worth Rs 13,500 crores, the PM said north Bihar was facing the menace of floods almost every year. His government would spend Rs 11,000 crore for flood protection projects in the state to provide relief to the people from floods that cause widespread damage every year, he added.
