Mumbai, March 6 -- Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday gave an assurance in the Maharashtra Assembly that a meeting will be held with the public representatives for rapid redevelopment of dangerous, old and dilapidated cessed buildings in Mumbai city and redevelopment of these buildings will be accelerated by removing the obstacles in it.

Responding to questions of member Amin Patel in the lower house, he said that if the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation or the competent authority declares a building dangerous, the building owner is first given an opportunity to redevelop.
