Bengaluru, Aug. 23 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today underlined that the government stands for justice and not politics in matters of religion, following the arrest of the complainant in the Dharmasthala case.
Shivakumar stated, "We are neither for them (Dharmasthala) nor against them. We are for justice. Politics should not be done in matters of religion." The Deputy Chief Minister emphasised that the probe is being conducted impartially and that action will be taken against anyone found guilty.
Highlighting the support for the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe, Shivakumar said the families of the alleged victims had met the Chief Minister and welcomed the investigation.
