New Delhi, Feb. 2 -- The Congress on Monday accused the Centre of suppressing debate in Parliament to conceal its failures in handling the border standoff with China, alleging that the government was deliberately preventing Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi from speaking out of fear that its "incompetence" would be exposed.
In a statement, Congress general secretary K C Venugopal said the government had gone to extraordinary lengths to silence the Opposition, deploying senior Cabinet ministers on the floor of the House to disrupt Rahul Gandhi's intervention.
