Shimla, Jan. 10 -- Bringing relief to the medical fraternity and thousands of patients affected by weeks of disruption, the Himachal Pradesh government on Friday revoked the termination of Dr. Raghav Nerula, Senior Resident (Pulmonary Medicine) at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, taking a lenient view after re-examination of the December 22 doctor-patient brawl.

In a detailed two-page notification issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, the government accepted the recommendations of a reconstituted inquiry committee, which concluded that the incident was the result of a sudden outburst of anger by both parties and not solely attributable to the doctor.
