New Delhi, Feb. 13 -- : Biotechnology will drive the next phase of India's industrial growth, much like Information Technology, said Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh on Friday.

He was speaking while opening the first tranche of Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) funds worth Rs 2,000 crore, to be disbursed over a five-year period. The amount is part of the Rs 1lakh-crore corpus approved by the Cabinet in July last year under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
