Mumbai, March 15 -- The Maharashtra government has now made FASTag for all vehicles in the state from April one.

A decision to this effect was approved by the state Cabinet on Saturday.

The double toll will be collected from vehicles without FASTag after April one, 2025, said Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation in a release here.

Therefore, it will be mandatory for all vehicles to have FASTag from April one.

It will now be mandatory to pay through FASTag at all toll plazas run by the MSRDC.

However, if the vehicle owners do not accept this method or are unable to pay the fee in this way, those vehicle owners will have to pay double toll after April one, it added. UNI SP SS
