New Delhi, Dec. 15 -- The Government on Monday introduced three significant bills in the Lok Sabha, signaling a focused push on legal reforms, higher education restructuring, and the expansion of nuclear energy applications.

The bills tabled include the Repealing and Amending Bill, 2025; the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill, 2025; and the Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India Bill, 2025.

However, the government chose not to move forward with the "Viksit Bharat-Guarantee For Rozgar And Ajeevika Mission (Gramin)" Bill, 2025, a proposed legislation intended to replace the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), 2005.
