Nagpur, Dec. 12 -- Maharashtra Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare today told the State Legislative Council that the government is determined to ensure that no child in the state loses their life due to malnutrition.
Responding to a half-hour discussion raised by members Sanjay Khodke and others, Tatkare said the number of malnourished children in the state has significantly declined - from 246 in 2019-20 to 97 in 2025-26. The share of severely malnourished children has also dropped from 0.79 percent in 2024 to 0.4 pc in 2025.
