New Delhi, July 2 -- The government has permitted cab aggregators to implement a maximum dynamic pricing rate of up to twice the base fare during peak hours.

According to the Motor Vehicles Aggregator Guidelines 2025 issued yesterday, aggregators are also required to charge at least 50 per cent less than the base fare during non-peak hours.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has directed the state governments to adopt these revised guidelines within three months from the date of issue.

The guidelines further specify that "the fare notified by the state government for the respective category or class of motor vehicles shall be the base fare chargeable to passengers availing services from the aggregator."
