Mumbai, Feb. 11 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced on Tuesday that currently there are 18 lakh 'Lakhpati Didis' in the state and the government has set an aim to increase the number of such 'didis' to 25 lakh by March.

Speaking at inauguration of 'Mahalakshmi Saras Sale and Exhibition - 2025' organised on behalf of Umed-State Rural Development Mission under Village Development and Panchayat Raj Department at Bandra-Kurla Complex in western suburb of Bandra, he said that the 'Mahalakshmi Saras Sale' has become very popular in the state.

Ten malls will be set up in 10 districts on a pilot basis to provide a right platform to the savings groups across the state to sell their products, he informed.
