Bengaluru, June 6 -- Senior Congress leader and MLC K Govindaraj was on Friday relieved from the post of Political Secretary to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah with immediate effect.
According to a government notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) on Friday, Govindaraj's services as the Political Secretary stand withdrawn.
The notification did not specify the reasons for his removal. However, the move has sparked speculation within political circles, given Govindaraj's longstanding association with the Chief Minister and his influential role within the party's state unit.
