Aizawl, July 10 -- Mizoram Governor Gen VK Singh (Retd), who also serves as president of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Mizoram State Branch, today praised the people of Mizoram for their enduring spirit of selflessness, as he launched new initiatives aimed at revitalising the Red Cross movement in the state.
Speaking at a special programme organised at Government Aizawl College, the Governor said that the culture of helping others without expecting anything in return remains one of the defining characteristics of the Mizo identity. "This deep-rooted tradition of compassionate community action is something that Mizoram should be proud of," he remarked.
