Shimla, March 8 -- Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla said that Himachal Pradesh will not be able to progress without adopting a strong work culture.

He emphasized that for the overall development of the state, it is essential to cultivate a committed and responsible work culture.

Speaking to the media at Lok Bhavan (earlier Raj Bhawan) in Shimla on Sunday, the outgoing Governor said that the neighbouring state Uttrakhand has surpassed Himachal, as far as development is concerned.

"Himachal should focus on the progress of work culture. If society, the government, and political parties do not work together with a positive mindset, the state may fall behind in the race for development," he said.
