Patna, Nov. 24 -- Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Monday appointed Narendra Narain Yadav as protem Speaker of state Assembly.
Khan appointed senior MLA and former Bihar Minister Yadav as protem Speaker of newly constituted Assembly after just concluded elections.
He was also administered oath by Governor at a simple function organised in Rajbhawan.
Yadav will administer oath to newly elected MLAs during the first session of newly constituted Assembly, to be convened soon.
In its first cabinet meeting of new NDA government formed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who had taken oath on November 20, date for commencement of first session of the Assembly would be decided. Cabinet meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.
