Kolkata, Sept. 11 -- West Bengal Governor Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today left Siliguri after reviewing the situation along the Indo-Nepal border in the wakeof the recent unrest in Nepal.

Banerjee, who had been monitoring developments from Uttarkanya since September 9, flew back to Kolkata via Bagdogra, while Governor Bose departed for Delhi later in the evening to attend the Vice President's swearing-in.

The Governor had arrived at Bagdogra earlier in the day for an unscheduled visit, held meetings with senior officials, and inspected the Panitanki border outpost in the afternoon.
