Srinagar, Oct. 3 -- The Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) today lauded the Indian government's pragmatic approach in handling international and domestic conflicts, but criticised its reluctance to engage in dialogue with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi's response to Trump's Gaza peace plan, the upcoming visit of the Taliban's "foreign minister" to India, the easing of restrictions to allow Sikh pilgrimages to Pakistan, and the release of those detained after clashes in Ladakh, AIP said the government has shown readiness to resolve disputes at home and abroad.
