Prayagraj, April 19 -- Goods worth several lakh rupees were gutted in a major fire that broke out in the temporary warehouse of Lallu Ji Tent House, which organises Kumbh Mela, in Daraganj area of Prayagraj district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, a police officer said here.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Abhishek Bharti said that at around 7 am, information was received that a fire broke out in the temporary warehouse of Lallu Ji, which organises Maha Kumbh, located on Kali Road. "After the information, many senior administrative officers have reached the spot. A large number of bamboo poles, tent curtains, quilts, mattresses, chairs, tables and plywood kept in the warehouse caught fire," he said.
