Ranchi, Dec. 6 -- Burglars targeted three shops at the Pandara Market Committee in Jharkhand's capital Ranchi, breaking through the walls and escaping with goods worth lakhs of rupees.
The incident occurred late Friday night.
According to sources, thieves simultaneously broke into three adjacent shops - N-24, N-25, and N-27 - located on Banhaura Road, and decamped with cash, valuable items, laptops, and important documents.
Police officials informed that the burglars gained entry by breaking the walls of the shops, after which they ransacked the premises and stole merchandise along with critical business papers. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to be in lakhs.
