Gadchiroli, Nov. 15 -- Gondwana University has secured top position in Maharashtra under the Higher and Technical Education Department's 'Sevakarmi' service-oriented initiative for non-agricultural state universities, officials said on Saturday.
The ranking is based on a state-level evaluation of administrative efficiency, service delivery mechanisms and overall institutional responsiveness.
According to officials, the university excelled in multiple key parameters, including implementation of an approved organizational structure, enforcement of service-entry rules, maintenance of updated seniority lists, progress in direct recruitment and promotions, and proper use of the point-based roster system.
