Hyderabad, June 27 -- Telangana is witnessing a transformative phase in the welfare of the disabled, elderly, and transgender communities under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman.

Marking a historic shift, both leaders became the first in Indian history to sign welfare orders for the disabled immediately after assuming office, reflecting their deep commitment to inclusive governance.

A grand event was held on Friday in Malakpet to mark the 145th birth anniversary of Helen Keller, under the aegis of the Department of Welfare and Cooperation for the Disabled, Elderly, and Transgenders.
