Rio De Janeiro, Aug. 12 -- Botafogo has completed the signing of former Barcelona goalkeeper Neto on a free transfer, the Brazilian Serie A club said.

The 36-year-old agreed to a two-year deal after parting ways with Bournemouth by mutual consent. "I'm very happy to be part of this project and this gigantic club," Neto told reporters during his official presentation on Monday.

"I hope I can help and contribute. I'm available to help in any way I can." Neto, who has one Brazil cap, made 63 appearances across all competitions for Bournemouth following his 2022 move from Barcelona.
