Bhubaneswar, Dec. 15 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved the establishment of a Global Visa Application Centre in Bhubaneswar.
The proposed visa centre will operate from the Babasahab Ambedkar Bus Terminal building at Baramunda, where the Odisha Government will provide 3,000 square feet of space for its functioning.
Until now, residents of Odisha were required to travel to other major cities such as Kolkata, Delhi, and Hyderabad to apply for international visas.
For a long time, there had been a strong demand from the people of the state to set up a visa application centre in the capital city.
