Bhubaneswar, Nov. 24 -- Empowering women to take up critical political and social responsibilities is not just desirable but essential for building an inclusive society and strengthening democratic governance, diplomats from eight countries said on Monday.

Speaking at the international conference "Redefining Leadership: The Rise of Women in Global Governance" held at SOA Deemed to be University, the delegates emphasized that dismantling structural barriers and ensuring equal opportunities for women are fundamental to progress.
