Mumbai, Sept. 30 -- To support the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Maharashtra Cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has approved the establishment of a Global Capability Centre.
CM Fadnavis announced that the initiative will encourage foreign investment, foster multinational collaboration, and create five lakh new employment opportunities.
The Cabinet also approved the imposition of an additional sales tax on industrial and commercial power consumers, excluding domestic connections.
The revenue generated will be utilized under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Component-B and other schemes to provide electricity to agricultural pumps.
